Designed by architect Graham Gund in 200X, Neo Caples is a LEED Silver-certified panopticon drawing upon a modernist vocabulary. Built for adaptive use, its unexpected, open, Rubenesque interior plays against its rigid, angular geometry. It looms miles above the unassuming ruins of a land once called Ohio.
The building is in a constant state of reconstruction and is never intended to be completed. Its rhizomatic, non-linear design reflects the general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.
Legend states that the monumental building was originally designed as a living tomb for Gund. While scholars argue over this claim’s veracity, a bust of the Pharaoh Akhenaten can be found in the building’s Mind Palace, suggesting a misplaced belief in his own deification. Yet Gund passed away long ago… surely there is no way he was able to escape death.
Your living quarters are located several hundred stories above the ground floor in the employee wing. Relative to the rest of the tower, you are near the base.
